The palace is vast and requires a significant amount of walking to explore fully. The impressive architecture of the palaces and pavilions, blending with the majestic landscape, conveys a sense of power and artistry. Inside the citadel walls, we were captivated by the intricate embroidery and artifacts that hint at the lives of former emperors. The lush vegetation softens the landscape, providing a sense of balance. Although some areas are still undergoing restoration, the sheer scale and historical significance of the Hue Imperial City make it a must-visit for anyone interested in Vietnamese history and culture. 1 It's very hot during our visit, so be sure to bring plenty of water. Other places you shouldn't miss in Hue: Thien Mu Pagoda, Dong Ba Market, and Khai Dinh Tomb.
